Insects: Insects are foreign bodies and when they bite or sting they break your defense (skin) and cause a reaction if you have a normal immune system. Some people react more than others depending on their sensitivity to foreign material breaching their skin. If you have a severe reaction that causes not only local changes but systemic (difficulty breathing or vomiting) then you need to have a rescue med.
