A couple ideas: While most antidepressants are at least mildly sedating, a few tend to be activating, i.e., the opposite. Prozac (fluoxetine) and wellbutrin (bupropion) are examples. Of course, everyone's different, and even these are sedating in the rare person. In any case, if a med is sedating it is usually best taken at bedtime, to minimize daytime drowsiness.
