Need diagnosis: The next step is to determine where the brown stains are coming from. There are really only 4 options. Vaginal discharge, blood from the vagina, blood from the anus, stool from the anus or urine. Schedule a visit for an examination and hopefully your doctor can determine where it is coming from and then help you out.

Depends: It is normal to have some vaginal discharge. If there is discoloration or odor then the discharge may be an indication of a problem such as infection or cancer. You should see your doctor for an exam.
