Environment & meds: The first best option for allergic rhinitis is to eliminate or reduce the triggers causing the symptoms. Medications include nasal steroids which work the best in studies and or antihistamines in a nasal spray. Antihistamines by mouth (liquid or tablets) are not as effective as putting the medicine where the problem is but are easier to take. Discuss with your doctor the best options for you.
