Are bi-polar people dangerous to their spouses and children?

If not treated: Bipolar disorder can go into periods of remission. If the disease is active and the person is having symptoms, then untreated disease can lead to significant problems. The patient can be so depressed they can hurt themselves, and during manic periods people can put themselves into dangerous situations because of the feelings they are indestructible and can conquer all. This can pose great danger!
