Sleep disorders eval: I would recommend a sleep disorders evaluation. A board-certified sleep disorder specialist would be able to test you and find out whether you are hallucinating due to sleep apnea with oxygen loss at night, or whether you have a form of narcolepsy which can also cause nighttime hallucinations. Nighttime seizures can also cause hallucinations. These are often found on a sleep study. If your sleep study is normal then sleep doctor would refer you to a neurologist for further evaluation of possible underlying seizure disorder.

Hallucinations: I agree with my colleagues regarding sleep studies, but wonder if it could be effect of medications or substances consumed at night.
