Possibly: Depending upon your usual rhythm (sinus rhythm or atrial fibrillation, and some other factors), you may require a pacemaker. The most important factor would be if you are aware of the pauses or suffer from weakness or dizziness during these episodes. I strongly encourage you to see a cardiologist.

Pacemaker: You need to be evaluated for the exact rhythm that happened then and what is the problem. It is possible you will need a pacemaker but it is also quite possible you don't. Seeing a cardiologist would be a good idea for diagnosis and treatment if necessary.
