Mild bleeding: D&c (cervix dilation& curetage) is a 'scraping' of the uterus lining for the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal vaginal bleeding. The pathology may yield several possibilities: normal, polyps, hyperplasia, and rarely uterus cancer. After a D&C the usual course is 'some' vaginal bleeding that tapers off. You can then expect a 'normal' period 3-5 weeks later. Any other symptoms may be abnormal.

Usually, none: Normally, there are no symptoms 3 weeks after a d & c procedure. Vaginal bleeding should have stopped , compications such as prolonged bleeding or infection can occur. Usually, menstrual cycles return 4 to 6 weeks after the d & c.
