How would i differentiate implantation bleeding from normal menstrual period? what is the difference in volume and colour?

Doesn't matter: Volume and color are unimportant; honestly most "implantation bleeding" is nonsense, it's just breakthrough. You could tell the difference by when bleeding happens, implantation is 6-7 days after ovulation, a period is almost a week later.
