Keep a record: Of how your asthma symptoms are doing (cough/wheezing, etc), how often do you cough during day/night. How often do you grab the rescue inhaler. How do you feel with the medication. How are you doing with peak flow meters. How is your lung function when your doctor checks you. There are many ways to find out. Make sure you try to identify what triggers your asthma as that can help your symptoms.
