Depends: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder & requires use of anti-inflammatory medications to suppress this inflammation. There are several types of anti-inflammatory medications available & the choice depends on a number of factors - severity of symptoms, lung function, severity grading of asthma, age of patient etc. Talk to yr doctor about the options as there is not enough room here to discuss i.
