After a lateral release and chondroplasty, do they put anything on your leg to keep it from moving?

Chondroplasty: There may be a short period of immobilization but this is quickly followed by rehabilitation including range of motion exercises and progressive strengthening of inhibited muscles. Bracing and taping may also be used. Initially good to have adequate pain control to allow tolerance of progressive rehabilitation.

Bracing not typical.: Typically i would not brace a knee after a lateral release and chondroplasty. Every surgeon certainly has there own thoughts but there isnt a reason to brace after this type of surgery.
