Very accurate: Sonograms are very accurate. A first trimester sonogram has a 5-7 margin of error. A second trimester has a 7-14 day margin of error. The earlier the sonogram them more accurate. Ask your doctor whether the sonogram or your last period is being used to calculate your due date.
