Are doctors against performing hysterectomies on mid-late 20s women? after 14+ years of periods. i can't imagine that pain every month until i'm 50

Hysterectomy: Yes. Most are. They are exhausted by the drama that patients bring to their practice years after hysterectomy, angry that they had this surgery because 'now they want another baby'. The doctor has to be approached with your absolute commitment that this is the right choice for you. If they do not budge then get a second opinion. But, many women not only change their minds but get angry.

See doctor: Your periods should be tolerable. If b=not see your gynecologist - there are many good treatment options to help with problematic periods. It may be that a simple medication will solve your problems, but it may be that a hysterectomy is the best treatment. See your doctor.
