When are lymph nodes in children considered to be enlarged? i can feel them in my child, but i'm not sure if they are normal or not

Variable: They are usually pea sized at rest and occasionally bean sized.When they become sore to touch or reach quarter size they have been stimulated and are doing what lymph glands do.The increased size generally persists up to 3 wks before fading. Rarely they trap aggressive germs and become golf ball sized and need to be drained.
