Treat and prevent : Your half way there. Discuss side effects and symptoms with your doctor if not improving or worsening. Its important to adhere vanc treatment especially if Metronidazole (flagyl) tried and failed. Diarrhea and GI upset are not uncommon with oral vanc. Probiotics (e.g. Lactobacillus, bifidobacteria, saccharomyces boulardii) may help treat your c. Diff more effectively and prevent recurrence.
