Agree w Dr. Rao: Leprosy is often called the least contagious of the infectious diseases. About 95% of people have natural immunity to Leprosy. It is most likely that leprosy is transmitted by nasal droplets by repeated & very close contact. Of interest - after 2 weeks of treatment many lepers are no longer infectious. So the risk is extraordinarily low.
