When should a person with alzheimer's be entered into a care facility?

Variable: Usually the decision occurs when the family finds inability to care for the multiple complications, or the behaviour becomes so "out of control", that the household is in full turmoil. Lastly, in terminal stages, complications and infections begin to take a toll, and expert management is required. This is a tough decision. Best of luck.

Depends onCare needs: Every person & their family/support system struggles with the illness in a different way. How to care for the person and if to place in a facility follows some guidelines but is very individual . In general persons are "placed" when their symptoms such as agitation, wandering, loss of bladder control are too great or too unsafe to remain at home and affect the health of others
