More is not better: In medicine, in so many ways, the assumption that more is better is repeatedly proven false. For alopecia, Finasteride (the generic for propecia) all one needs is 1 mg/day. But, the 5 mg pill is less expensive. So many people get the five and break it up into three or four pieces.
