A member asked:

When nursing on an empty stomach, can toxins be released into breastmilk?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not an issue: Your breast milk is created over time from nutrients it extracts from your circulation. It pays little attention to your feeding schedule but appreciates good fluid intake and balanced meals. It will make milk regardless of your feeding pattern and extract nutrients mobilized from your tissues and bone if you are not eating right.
