Time: All broken bones heal with time usually. A high calcium diet may help speed things up if you're deficient, but ultimately, time is the only cure.

Time: A broken rib will heal on its own. Really it takes about 6-8 weeks but the pain should lessen considerably by then.

Rib fractures : Simple rib fractures are treated conservatively with pain management only. Certain rib fractures that result in breathing difficulties and / or relentless pain are treated surgically. I use titanium plates to repair the chest wall.
