Get checked: It may be positional vertigo but i would be checked by your doctor to be sure as this could be a stroke also.

Impossible to say: What you experienced could range from a very simple "vagal reaction" - happens after heavy coughing, sneezing, sometimes straining your bowels, any kind of valsalva maneuver (pressing down with a closed glottis) will slow the heart down, can reduce blood pressure, and make people dizzy. However, a million other things can do it too, including seizure disorders, heart problems, dehydration etc etc.
