If surgery is dangerous, what can be done for enlarged prostate?

Medications: 2 major classes of meds are used for enlarged prostates. Finasteride & other Alpha reductase inhibitors decrease the action of testosterone, shrinking the prostate; doxsosin & meds in it's class cause the smooth muscle to relax, making it easier to urinate.

BPH: There are two classes of medication commonly used for symptomatic bph. There are also several minimally invasive surgical procedures now available. Some can be done under local anesthesia or with minimal sedation.
