is it possible to get pregnant on the implant?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Jane Van Dis
17 years experience Obstetrics and Gynecology
Yes: You can get pregnant with any form of contraception, unfortunately. Nothing is 100% other than abstinence. The chances of pregnancy with the implant is 1% (or 1 out of 100 women) over the course of a year. So one instance of unprotected sex is much less than that. Even sterilization isn't 100%. Hope that helps!
