IT IS SAFE BUT: Tempons are safe but there is risk of toxic shock syndrome, as these are highly absorbent and absorp vaginas natural misture and upsetting the balance which enables toxic shick to occur if follow the instructions, choose the lowest absorbency for ones flow, change tempons at least 4to6 hours, alternate between tempons and pads, avoid tempons overnight or when sleeping, incidence of tss very low in us.
