Back pain: Usually muscular back pain improves with heat and something like bengay. If the pain is deeper, usually that is the cause for muscular pain and arises from the spine. Ointments don't help with deeper pain but there are many other options. See a pain specialist if the pain is not controlled by regular gentle exercises such as swimming or aerobics. Avoid prolonged sitting and bending down.

None really: But if you listen to shaquille o'neal then icyhot is good . The real reason for the pain needs to be found and treatment decided on the basis of cause. Find a doctor to examine you and find the source of you pain , not just the location.
