If it works, Great!: Preparation h is a commercial over the counter lubricant that can include several ingredients such as steroid, decongestant, and witch hazel. Look at the ingredients, and if it works, good for you. But don't ignore chronic symptoms--see a colorectal surgeon, proctologist, or even your regular family doc if symptoms persist!
