Depends: The rate of progression of TB depends on a number of factors - site of infection/involvement, bacterial burden, immune status of host, previous treatment history (if any), primary TB versus reactivation disease etc. It would normally take weeks to months for the severest form of TB to cause significant disease that could be fatal. This is because the TB bug is very slow to multiply (avg 6 wks).
