Ablation: Ablation therapy is done to destroy tissue in the heart that is causing electrical or mechanical problems. Usually the technique used is radiofrequency energy like microwaves but there are also other techniques. Most commonly these are performed by electrophysiology specialists.

Yes: Atrial tachycardia may be difficult to treat with medications and is quite often curable with a catheter radiofrequency ablation (rfa).
