LASIK 4 astigmatism: Both lasik and prk can do a great job of treating even very high amounts of astigmatism. The higher the astigmatism, the greater is the benefit of laser eye surgery. When the correction is placed directly on the cornea the quality and quantity of the vision can improve when compared to glasses and contact lenses. http://www.doctorsforvisualfreedom.com/astigmatism.htm.
