Cough after a cold: Two of the more common reasons to have a cough after a cold is 1) sinus infection and 2) asthma. Both sinus infections and asthma can have cough as a feature. Your physician should be able to assist you in differentiating between these 2 and ruling out other potential causes. Rarely is asthma or sinus issues fatal.
