The inhaler.: If your inhalers controlled your asthma, one should not be surprised that the asthma problem returns after you have stopped using them. You need to get back on the inhaler and even then it may take weeks for you to get back to where you were before. Your doctor may well prescribe a short course of Prednisone to get you back on track. In the future, don't stop your inhalers unless instructed.
