An hour or so: There are los of factors that determine this , like your medications and the difficulty of extraction, but generally if you still have significant bleeding after an hour you should call the dentist or oral surgeon. A little bit of oozing can go go for the rest of the day. If you have concerns then you should call the dentist who did the extraction for you.

One hour: Bleeding should cease with pressure one hour after surgery, however, some oozing is not abnormal. Sometimes this oozing when combined with saliva looks like heavy bleeding when it is not. Do not spit or rinse for the first 24 hours after surgery as this will cause bleeding.
