Are aspbergers and schizophrenia related to one another?

Can coexist: They are not the same disorder and very few patients with asperger's or any autism spectrum disorder will develop schizophrenia. There does however seem to be an increased incidence over the general population. As we learn more about genetics and the effect of the environment of genetic expression we will have more information on shared genetic susceptibilities.
