A member asked:

Do autistic people or people with aspergers have personality disorders or are they neurodivergent?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Who's counting?: "neurotics" are troubled. "personality disorder" people are troublesome. Cyclothymia's moods are cruel. The autism spectrum disorder folks are equally hard for the rest of the world to understand, & these individuals often suffer terribly. But a wisely-focused aspie who learns to be a diplomat becomes useful and likable. Not everything a pathologist or psychiatrist describes need be "disease".
