A member asked:

Can there be a multivitamin that uses methylcobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: Why do you wish to take a multivitamin, as recent studies suggest people have worse outcomes when they do take vitamins in that form. Also, many of the standard multivitamins do not dissolve in the gut, so not absorbed. Methylcobalamin is the biologically active form, and is present in medical foods, prescription items, but may be available in health food stores.
