Second degree burns: Heal nicely with simple wound care. Yours should be healed by now. Topical ointments and dressings are all that is needed for second degree burns (blistering burns). Avoid excessive sun exposure until your skin is normal in color again.

Local hygiene: Wash the area with soap and water. Apply antibiotic ointment to the area involved. Cover it with some kind of a secondary dressing daily. Make sure her tetanus status is up to date.
