Caution after recon!: As stated, by dr. Pousti, as long as you don't have a transaxillary approach and as long as it has been several months since surgery to allow for resolution of axilla ray swelling and postoperative inflammation. My concern is you describe this as breast reconstruction which can remove axillary lymph nodes and more prone to swelling/infection if a lymph node dissection was performed. Ask surgeon.

Absolutely: The only time it would not be safe is if your surgery scar was not yet healed. If it is well healed, it should not be a problem.
