No: Laxative use and appendicitis have no correlation. The use of laxatives would not lead to appendicitis. Laxatives should be used sparingly as a word of caution.

Healthy diet: Not really. A healthy diet and drinking lots of water and getting exercise is good for regularity. Chronic laxative use makes the colon lazy. A stool softener is better to use such as colace (docusate sodium) or mirilax.
