Get a real Rx: Dietary modifications may make for softer stool and more comfortable bowel movements, but this is not the mainstay of successful treatment. An anal fistula can be permanent if it's not surgically treated. I also trust that crohn's disease has been ruled out.

Several! : Zinc would be most important! take as zinc gluconate 50 mg twice daily. I would also have you on ciprofloxin and metronidazole!
