Not related: People with or without genital hpv or std hpv may have plantar warts. The plantar warts are caused by strains other strains of hpv, strains that are not likely to cause genital hpv or std hpv.

The HPV family: HPV is a family of dozens of virus strains. The plantar wart strains 1.2.4 & 63 are not the same as the seven or more strains known to infect the genitals & be classified as STI's.
