Anemia: 51 year old, on Methotrexate and have heavy menstrual bleeding. Yes you should have CBC ( complete blood count) heavy menstrual bleeding is the main cause of iron deficiency anemia in female. However because of heavy bleed in 51 years old, you may want to see gynecologist. Wish you good health.

See below: I agree with my colleague. When one is on Methotrexate they should be having a CBC as put of routine lab monitoring which would also pick anemia. You need to see a gyn as heavy menstrual bleeding is not normal.
