My sister has low iron, she is taking iron pills she has lost weight and has developed gout .but now she has a pain that is continuous on her ankle.

See below: Gout can occur in a joint such as an ankle, but anytime a gout attack persists for more two weeks warrants an evaluation as something else could be going. She may need to have arthrocentesis to drain her ankle and other tests.

See details: All are these are not related to the low iron levels. Have it evaluated by her doctor or see a rheumatologist.
