Soft Tissue Edema: Most likely you tried to help this situation out by pressing or mashing on the site to try and "get the stuff out". The question is did it start draining or not. If not the condition could get worse. Also, when you have an area like this, pressing and mashing will usually led to scarring or changes in the pigment in your skin down the road. See your doctor and get some treatment/advice.
