Do interactions w: The person consistently lead to you to feeling angry, sad or emotionally depleted? Is the relationship unbalanced? In other words, are you the only one giving or the only one taking in the relationship. Is there mutual trust? Is there codependence in the relationship? Ask your self these questions to help get a better sense as to whether your relationships are healthy or detrimental to you.

Unhealthy : Detrimental relationships can mean a lot of things. Some examples might be a partner who lies to you, does drugs, steals from you, or is emotionally unavailable or abusive in any way. Poor communication skills, and unwillingness to work on improving communication between you. Still other reasons could be unwillingness to share responsibilities like paying his/her portion of bills, etc.
