Burning vs itchiness: Burning is usually due to drying out of the tear film (ie, dry eye, meibomian gland dysfunction, chemical exposure); allergies usually cause itchiness. Viral infections usually cause severe itchiness; bacterial infections cause severe yellowish/green discharge. Floaters are the black objects many see when looking at a white background. If in doubt, see your eyemd. Eyedoc2020.Blogspot.Com may help.

Unrelated: Floaters and burning are unrelated symptoms. Floaters are shadows created by something floating inside your eye. Other than a visual disturbance, you cannot feel the floater. A burning sensation comes from the surface of your eye. It usually represents dryness. You can try otc artificial tears to see if that relieves your symptoms. You should see an eye md for evaluation of both problems.
