Stool tested. results poc hemocult neg x1. what does that mean?

Colon CA Screening: This test is a screening test for possible colon cancer. Hemocult negative means there is no blood or hemoglobin in the stool and that this screening test is negative for cancer. It is a common test for adults over forty. I am not sure why any physician would test someone your age.
