Bruising: Mild bruising is common in active children. If you observe unusual patterns of bruising, sudden increase in bruising, delayed healing or slowed time for an open cut to stop bleeding, then seeing your child's pediatrician for an assessmemt would be wise.

Location/explanation: Bruising is an expected part of a toddlers life, as they dart through their day.The expected location will be the contact surfaces over bone;shins, forearms, forehead.I call them "furnadents" for the furnature they run into.Location over non contact surfaces like the abdomen, upper arms, etc. Should have a known origin (fall, other trauma) or i become concerned.
