Any doctor: Any physician who has access to laboratory can order this test, which requires a stool sample. Most often though, this test is ordered by primary care physicians and gastroenterologists.

Any: Even a psychiatrist can order stool samples to be tested. Sometimes there may be a problem finding a laboratory with excellent experience in these exams but specimens can be sent to labs from almost anywhere.
