Good protection: A very high level of VZV igg in the blood test means there are lots of antibodies against the chicken pox virus (varicella zoster virus). These antibodies help stop chicken pox viruses from causing an infection in the body, the next time the patient has contact with the virus, such as if she unknowingly plays with a child with chicken pox. Negative igm means that there was no recent VZV infection.

You're ok. : It means you had a past infection with the virus and are now immune to it. You are not contagious. When you hit 60 yrs of age, get the shingles vaccine.
